Scribblenauts: The real non-lewthemy topic
Scribblenauts
Release Date: October 2009
Console: Both DS and DSi
Site: http://games.kidswb.com/scribblenauts/
About
Maxwell and his rooster hat are on a mission. Maxwell needs starite, It's like crack to him. On his wierd trips he can summon anything he likes to help him get the starite. Basically, write a noun, and it appears.
Robot Zombies blocking your path? Go back in time and jump on a Tyranosaurus. Cthulu giving you problems? Send out God on a skateboard. The developers are trying to make it so literally anything is possible, for weeks they alphababetically went through dictionaries and wikipedia for item inspiration. Truley anything that doesn't involve penish will be possible.
It's developed by 5th Cell, the masterminds who made Drawn to Life and Locks Quest, both praised for originality and creativity.

E3 Demo
Multiplayer
Right now, details are scarce, but multiplayer will mean creating your own levels and sharing them over the internet. You could make a battle royale with Cthulu vs. Robot Ninjas. You could make something cinematic like Jurassic park. Or you could make something that stretches imagination and have everyone on the internet kissing your shoes. LBP PSP can't touch this. Do they have a rooster hat? Their argument is m00t.
Quotes that are sorta to do with this game
"I clicked one, and realized I could RIDE THEM. So I hopped on a f------ DINOSAUR, traveled back to the present, and stomped the s--- out of robot zombies. Did you just read that sentence? Did you really? I F------ TRAVELED THROUGH TIME AND JUMPED ON A DINOSAUR AND USED IT TO KILL M-----F------ ROBOT ZOMBIES." - Some guy on NEOGaf
"Imagination is more important than knowledge" Albert Einstein

Not too fussed. It's a clever idea, but that's all it seems like it's offering.

I'll probably just use it to recreate the French revolution with lazer guns and no French people.

Re: Scribblenauts: The real non-lewthemy topic
I think a fully 3D version with all the objects, decent level design that offers an actual challenge, and a free roaming section, all with complete functionality, for say PS3/360, would literally be the best game ever.
