I really can't see how Okami has "more". Zelda does the Action Adventure game better, despite having a tired formula now. That's changing in Zelda Wii though, apparently.

Yes it does. Okami's gameplay is a bit dull, to be honest. It makes up for this with cool graphics and narrative.

That's odd, I could say the same thing about Zelda. The only half-decent Zelda games are Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, and the gameplay for both is "a bit dull", however the narrative for MM makes up for it, as does the cool graphics for Wind Waker.

Other Zelda games, especially Zelda II and Twilight Princess, are almost ridiculously awful to the point of embarrassment.

You're kinda right about Wind Waker, but when I think of Majora's Mask, narrative definitley does not come to mind first. And whether or not you like Twilight Princess, it's by no means a terrible game.

And when I think of Majora's Mask, the side-quests come first, then the eccentric music. Narrative comes in somewhere after that.

Also, I just suddenly remembered one time on the GNC IRC (Zelda discussion): You said something along the lines of "It's OK" when we were talking about Twilight Princess. So either you're just BSing or using "terrible" to emphasize your point on why Okami is better.

I've never been on the GNC IRC at a time when a Zelda debate has taken place, other than the "Ocarina of Time is overrated" one when Slayso came in and tried to defend it. So you're thinking of someone else.

Also sidequests are part of the overall story for MM, so.

Well I definitely wouldn't say "I think it's unfair that people think MM is better than OOT blah blah". Because I think MM >>> OOT. Plus I don't think TP is OK, I had a horrible experience playing it, though it was on a fairly large HDTV which would POSSIBLY account for it. And the Wii controls are ;_;

Oops, I meant "I think it's unfair that people think OOT is better than MM blah blah". And I think you should at least play through TP once, any version. The Gamecube version got better scores - most likely because of the controls, though I thought the Wii version also had too many on-screen icons.
